What is Baptism?
Baptism is a public declaration of our commitment and devotion to Jesus Christ.
Baptism by immersion is a picture of our death, burial, and resurrection with Jesus Christ. Just as Jesus died and was buried, we are submerged under water. As Jesus rose from the dead, we rise from beneath the water. Our sins have been forgiven and washed away, and we have new lives because Jesus sacrificed his life for us on the cross.
